Ollie Kensdale joined Boreham Wood in January 2026 on a permanent basis from Barnet for an undisclosed fee. A composed and technically gifted centre back, Kensdale came through Colchester United’s academy before gaining valuable experience during loan spells with Maldon & Tiptree, Bath City and Braintree Town. He later enjoyed spells with Concord Rangers, Southend United, Eastbourne Borough and Barnet, establishing himself as a technically accomplished call playing defender.
Comfortable bringing the ball out from the back, Kensdale is renowned for his composure in possession and aerial presence. After helping Eastbourne Borough reach the National League South play-offs in 2024/25 and earning a place in the division’s Team of the Season, he spent a short period with neighbours Barnet following their promotion to the EFL, before he arrived at Meadow Park to further strengthen Wood’s defensive options.
