A stand in memory of our loved ones

2 July 2025

The long-standing East Stand has now been refurbed, reformed and renamed ‘The Memorial Stand’, an initiative inspired by our new main sponsors, Mangata Developments.

Boreham Wood Football Club are extremely proud to announce this heartfelt community initiative, as it will give so many of our supporters and our ex pats around the world a place to quietly acknowledge their loved ones, who loved this football club and attended so many of our matches over the years, since our formation way back in 1948.

‘The Memorial Stand’ is a dedicated space for supporters and their families to honour the memory of their departed loved ones, who though are no longer with us in body, are always with us in spirit and they remain part of our Club’s past history and future journey.

We thank Mangata Developments once again for this very special idea and may this football club forever be a place of local pride, of historic reflection, of community connection, and of course of remembrance.

Supporters as of now will have the opportunity to purchase a personalised memorial plaque, which will be permanently displayed within the ‘Memorial Stand’ offering a lasting tribute to a lost family member, friend, or fellow supporter.

Club Chairman Danny Hunter said “I’ve spoken to my family and friends recently about the idea and they all agreed ‘The Memorial Stand’ would mean a great deal to so many local people both past and present who will forever be connected to Boreham Wood Football Club, that includes my late Mother and Father. As such I’m incredibly grateful to Mangata Developments for developing this idea and sponsoring ‘The Memorial Stand’ with such a poignant and heartfelt initiative”.
