Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Regan Booty, who joins the Wood on loan from EFL League Two side Barrow AFC until 21 January.
Booty began his career with Huddersfield Town, captaining their under-23 side before gaining senior experience on loan at Aldershot Town, later departing the Terriers following their relegation from the Premier League. He went onto feature for Notts County – making 13 league starts and scoring twice – before enjoying a successful spell at Maidstone United and later joining Gateshead in 2023.
After an impressive spell in the north-east, including a top 7 play-off finish during the 2023/24 season, as well as scoring in the Heed’s 2024 FA Trophy triumph at Wembley, Booty joined Barrow AFC in July for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal with the Bluebirds before making the temporary switch to WD6.
Regan’s strong performances at Non-League top table also earned him international recognition with an England C call-up in March 2023 for their fixture against Wales C.
A dynamic and intelligent midfielder with excellent passing range and work rate, the 27-year-old brings valuable EFL and National League experience to Luke Garrard’s squad. We are thrilled to welcome Regan to Boreham Wood Football Club and look forward to seeing him in all white at the Mangata Developments Stadium Meadow Park!
