Today Wood versatile wide man Matty Whichelow has joined National league South side Chelmsford City on loan for the next 3 months..
Matty was an instrumental member of our promotion winning squad last season, scoring a dozen times but has found game time this season very limited. Matty will be a great addition to the ranks of our friends up at Melbourne Park and we hope this loan deal works out for all parties.
On allowing Matty to join the Clarets, new Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard said “Matty is a very talented footballer, has a great attitude but needs game time to stay sharp.
