THE NATIONAL LEAGUE TRUST

Boreham Wood FC’s Community Department are delighted to announce that once again the National League Trust will be supporting our community projects.

The grant allows the Club to continue engaging with local community groups, as well as promote Boreham Wood FC as a community Club. The National League Trust in partnership with the National League, the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association provides grant relief for all National League sides towards their community projects in the National, North and South divisions.

With the Community Department’s ongoing projects, including initiatives such as weekly football coaching onsite at Boreham Woo FC, football tournaments for a multitude of different groups, specialized disability football coaching, and much more, the Club is delighted to be eligible for £25,000 in grant support from the National League Trust.

Since its creation the National League Trust, which has evolved from the Football Conference Trust with the rebranding of the League, has made 328 grant offers to 85 different member Clubs, culminating in £4.76m in contributions towards £8.78m in total project costs. Boreham Wood FC are thrilled that the grants have allowed our community department to build strong foundations in the local community with schools and other community groups, with some amazing success stories.

We are thrilled to once again receive grant support from our partners at the National League Trust. Their help towards our community projects since our promotion to the Conference South in 2010 has been outstanding. The grant support helps us consolidate the work we are doing in the community each year, as well as help grow new projects year on year.

This year has seen the introduction of disability football to our community programme, which has been something we have wanted to do for quite some time now. With weekly sessions, disability football festivals for disability groups across Hertfordshire, as well as even hosting a Christmas dinner for our local Day Centre and Mencap groups, the project has been a huge success in its first year within our community programme. All would not have been possible without the support of the National League Trust. Thanks must go to the National League Trust, in particular their partners the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association.
