Unfortunately following a 3.30pm pitch inspection, tonight’s FA Youth Cup fixture at Meadow Park between Arsenal and Crewe Alexandra has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
The pitch was in good condition but was frozen in areas. Although the pitch was thawing this morning and afternoon, there were still a few areas that were frozen and in light of tonight’s weather forecast of sub-zero temperatures, the match referee decided to call the game off.
Boreham Wood FC and Arsenal FC would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused to travelling fans coming to tonight’s fixture. A rearranged fixture date will be announced in due course.
