On Monday, 12th November Boreham Wood hosts Hampshire side Basingstoke Town at Meadow Park in a Blue Square Conference South fixture, Kick off 7.45pm.
Basingstoke will come to Meadow Park sitting 19th position in the table and just out of the relegation zone on goal difference, having won 3, drew 5 and lost 6 of their 14 league games so far this season, acquiring 11 points. Basingstoke are currently experiencing a dip in form and are without a win in 5 league games since they beat Billericay Town 3-1 back in late September with a Tim Sills hattrick.
So the Hampshire will be eager to come to Hertfordshire and start to make amends for their poor start to the season and look to pull themselves away from around the bottom of the Blue Square Conference South table.
On the other hand, ‘Wood’ would like to continue their good start to the season and league form with a win Monday night. The Month of October saw ‘Wood’ Manager Ian Allinson earn the Manager of the Month award and the team pick up 7 points from a possible 9, as well as reach the FA Cup First Round Proper against League One Brentford FC.
‘Wood’ who currently sit in fourth position behind Salisbury City, Chelmsford City and Eastleigh, have games in hand against the sides above them following their FA Cup run to the First Round Proper, and Basingstoke Town is one of them, so it is vital ‘Wood’ take something from the game to close the gap at the top of the table.
Come down to Meadow Park and cheer on the team as they look to make this a memorable season. Admission prices are £12 for adults and £6 for children and OAP’s.
C’mon the Wood!
