VACANCY – (Match Day Reporter/Website & Programme Content writer)

Due to our long serving match day press officer John Mead, relocating abroad, Boreham Wood Football Club are now looking for a Match Reporter/Website and Programme Content writer. The club are presently competing in the National League which involves a substantial amount of travelling..

The role will involve match reporting on all BWFC 1st XI games both home and away and to write relevant, historical or related club articles periodically for our website and match day programme. On top of that you will also need to complete match previews that cover upcoming games, plus manager and player interviews etc.

JOB SKILLS

Ideally you will be studying towards a journalism degree or have previous journalism experience and enough time to carry out all these tasks in a timely fashion..

JOB TERMS

The job is very much on a part time basis and you can work from home and write the articles to fit around your work or lifestyle schedule (though deadlines must be met).. It is essential you are available to attend all BWFC 1st XI matches which are on Saturday’s and some Tuesday’s throughout the season. Transport will be provided for away fixtures if required. There is no remuneration for this role other than pre agreed expenses, which will be paid on a monthly basis..
