Development Centre Launches at Boreham Wood

New Arsenal Soccer Schools operators, HB SOCCER have selected Boreham Wood FC as the venue for their Hertsmere district Development Centre. Arsenal Soccer Schools started in 1985 as a local community project near Arsenal’s home in North London. Arsenal Soccer Schools now operate all around UK and across the globe.

The team based at Boreham Wood are FA and UEFA qualified coaches with experience in delivering the Arsenal Soccer Schools Development Centre programme. The team can claim over 14 years of local experience and coaches have worked for various professional clubs.

The Development programme that will run at Boreham Wood take basic principles from other centres of sporting excellence and focus on the training from the players point of view. Players will learn to full understand what they are being taught and see the reason for mastering the skills and open their mind and capacity to learn. The primary aim of the centre is to improve and help every player who comes into the centre.

It is important though at this point to say, this Development Centre is not a fast track into the Arsenal Academy and as you can imagine only a very small percentage from players at development centres across the UK will ever make the step into the Academy level.

Each week coaches will work on different areas of the game including Technique, Awareness, Speed, Strength, Attitude, Discipline, Sportsmanship, and Match Play. Some players may also go on to represent the centre in friendly fixtures. Training with the centre will not affect involvement with local Sunday football, or district and school teams.

The Development Centre promises to provide a safe, structured, but fun environment and players are encouraged to appreciate the benefits of teamwork and develop their self confidence and skills.

To sign up, just simply go to our website, search UK > Hertfordshire courses and book in to trial. Only registered players can attend the next trial which takes place on Saturday 26th January 2013. Log on at
