Boreham Wood Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore has embarked on a second loan spell with Enterprise National League North outfit Bedford Town, rejoining the Eagles until the end of the season with a 24-hour recall.
Having made the move to Hertfordshire in 2019, initially on loan before making it a permanent switch a year later, the 35-year-old ‘keeper has asserted himself as a fan favourite in WD6 after making over 150 appearances and playing a pivotal role in last season’s promotion back to the summit of the Non-League pyramid.
During Nathan’s previous loan spell in Bedfordshire, he kept an impressive three clean sheets in his four appearances for the Eagles as they climbed away from the relegation zone with 10 points out of a possible 12.
Nathan joins up with the Bedford Town squad this evening as they host Buxton with a new Wood shot stopper to be announced in due course. Everyone at the club would like to wish him the best of luck during his second spell at the New Eyrie, reunited once again with former Wood number 10 Tyrone Marsh
