Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of striker Josh Landers on loan from West Ham United until the end of the season. The exciting young Scotsman arrives in WD6 looking to gain further senior experience, becoming the latest addition to Luke Garrard’s squad.
Landers began his career in the academy at Hibernian, joining at the age of 10 and quickly progressing through the ranks. A standout talent from a young age, he made his debut for the club’s under-18 side at just 14 years old and went on to sign his first professional contract in 2023. The frontman made his senior debut later that year in the Scottish League Cup against Aberdeen before stepping up to make his Scottish Premiership debut against St Mirren, underlining his quick development in the professional game.
Josh made the move to West Ham United in January of last year and has continued his progression within the club’s development sides. Capped by Scotland at under-16 and under-19 levels, Josh adds further attacking threat to our promotion-chasing side as an energetic striker capable of holding up play and running in behind.
Landers impressed in his first season in East London by scoring 10-goals across youth competitions. The Scotsman has since continued his good form at under-21 level this season and even scored against the Wood in last week’s National League Cup Final.
We are thrilled to welcome Josh to the Wood and look forward to seeing him in action at the Mangata Developments Stadium Meadow Park.
