Boreham Wood Football Club are thrilled to announce that Lewis Richardson has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at the club until 2028, with the option of a further year.
Lewis joined Boreham Wood in September 2025 and has impressed ever since. A Burnley academy graduate who made history as their youngest-ever Premier League player, Richardson quickly immersed himself in the group, becoming an important member of the squad.
Combining tireless work rate with creativity and quality in the final third, Richardson’s contributions helped Boreham Wood reach the National League Play-Off Final and lift the National League Cup during our 2025/26 campaign.
He opened his account on his full club debut, scoring for the Wood in a 3-0 victory over Morecambe. In another excellent performance, he bagged a brace against local side Wealdstone, producing a man-of-the-match display in our 4-0 win. More recently, Richardson starred with a brace against Leeds United U21s before registering a goal and assist in yet another man-of-the-match performance against Forest Green Rovers in the National League.
Now part of the WD6 furniture, Richardson described the club as ‘home.’
“I’ve met people along the way that are family and friends. The group and the gaffer especially, the way that he conducts himself and coaches us. It’s so good and it can only have benefits,” he said.
