Boreham Wood Football Club wish to share the following message from Mike Field of the West Ham United Fan Advisory Board ahead of tonight’s National League Cup Final clash at the Mangata Developments Stadium Meadow Park.
“A good crowd of us heading to Boreham Wood to see the U21 side in their final tonight.
In total contrast to the greed we see at PL level the Boreham Wood Chairman has offered free tickets to season ticket holders of both clubs. As a result, his club will actually make a loss for hosting a cup final. An extraordinary gesture so rare in today’s football and one he should be applauded for.
They will be selling souvenir programmes, and there is a bar and food available in our section, let’s spend a few bob in the ground and help a club not looking to exploit fans at every opportunity. I still want us to win of course, but Boreham Wood deserve a great night.
