Boreham Wood Football Club are pleased to announce that our old friends from Arsenal will return to Meadow Park for the annual pre-season friendly meeting on July 6 kicking off at 3pm.

This will be Luke Garrard’s first chance to see his new squad of 2019/20 in action, kicking off their pre-season schedule in the first week of July ahead of another tough-looking National League campaign.

Due to the Gunners being in the Europa League final and reporting back for training later than we had expected, we will be taking on a strong Arsenal XI minus some of the bigger superstars within their ranks.

As always though it’s a privilege to welcome the might of Arsenal with many of our supporters having allegiances to both clubs, thus making for an enjoyable community and family day which is always well backed.

This will be a momentous day for the club for more reasons than one as our brand new north stand could be unveiled to the public for the very first time, so this fixture is definitely one not to be missed!

Last year’s match was a piece of current history for the new look Gunners with it being Unai Emery’s first ever game in charge. As expected, they ran out very comfortable winners putting eight past a hard-working but outclassed Wood.

Back in 2018, star-studded names featured including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan plus a whole host more, let’s hope a few do decide to pop along this year.

Ticket prices for the fixture are as follows:

Adult/OAP – £15.00

U18 – £10.00

U12 – £5.00

U5 – FREE

As always with these high-profile fixtures, we are expecting a very busy day and therefore urge you to buy your tickets in advance.
