Boreham Wood Football Club can announce that another player of ours has gone into the Football League. The player in question is our England C goalkeeper Grant Smith, who has followed Bruno Andrade to Lincoln City.
Grant was a fans favourite and he would be the first to acknowledge the part we have played in his improvement over the last 24 months. So, it was perhaps fitting that his last game for us was at Wembley Stadium, in the recent Promotion Final.
Grant leaves our football club with the thanks and best wishes of the dressing room, staff and supporters, following two excellent seasons at Meadow Park.
