Wood Chairman Danny Hunter has said today that Saturday’s game at home against Aldershot Town, will also be a day of both remembrance and celebration for the lives and memories given to our Football Club by two of its favourite sons in both Micky Jackson and Micky Lennon.

Hunter said, “Both families will be represented at the match on the day, whilst a memorial programme in honour of both men will be produced. The Wood players will all wear black armbands and there will be a minute’s applause held in their honour before the game.

“Sometimes football pales into insignificance and this is one of those times, but our boys will be giving everything to win this game in their memory and may God bless them both.” Hunter concluded.

We, as a club, apologise in advance if match tickets sell out for this game, but we are restricted in crowd numbers by both government and local authority guidelines and all match tickets must be bought in advance.
