A familiar face in Hertfordshire, goalkeeper Fin Herrick will be making his Meadow Park return tonight after a successful loan spell with the Wood earlier this season. The 20-year-old signed at the start of September and made an immediate impact after keeping six clean sheets in 11 appearances, prompting the Hammers to call him back to join up with the first-team setup.
Following back-to-back home victories over York City and Brackley Town and a late draw at Woking which put us in a strong position in the table, we headed to FC Halifax Town last time out as we locked horns with a fellow promotion hopeful.
Josh Hmami’s joy was short-lived after he broke the deadlock on 20 minutes as Zak Brunt equalised five minutes later. Nontheless, it only took the Shaymen seven minutes to restore their one-goal cushion, courtesy of Will Smith on 32 minutes. Lewis Richardson was on hand though to equalise nine minutes into the second half before Owen Bray netted the winner for the hosts four minutes from time.
