Boreham Wood’s Under 19s will take on Guiseley in the Champion of Champions Final, this Wednesday, May 23 (2pm).

The final will take place at Oxford City’s Marsh Lane ground, with Mawer’s U19s side looking to pick up their second piece of Silverware, having already won the National League U19s Alliance title.

The young Wood reached the final thanks to a penalty shootout victory over Sutton United, following an entertaining 2-2 draw.

A penalty from Cheyce Grant and a save from Fred Burbidge secured the victory, following an own goal from Tarell Annakie and a second half strike by Bradley Sach. Sutton’s goal came through Lamar McRend and Kyle Henry.

Mawer’s men are looking to lift the Champion of Champions trophy in consecutive campaigns, having beaten Maidstone United in last year’s final.

Managed by Head of Youth Development Dave Currie, Guiseley’s under 19s have enjoyed their most successful ever season, having won their division on the final day of the season, against South Shields.

Admission into the match is free, so make sure that you get down to Oxford City and cheer on the young Wood. The bar at Oxford City will also be open for refreshments on the day.
