Aiming to bounce back from a first defeat of the season on penalties in midweek National League Cup action, the Wood head to second-from-bottom Solihull Moors.
After reaching two play-off finals in 2022 and 2024 but failing to take their first steps into the Football League, the Moors have struggled to emulate that success in the past two campaigns which saw them finish in 14th place last term.
They looked like potential play-off contenders towards the start of the season but their form soon dropped off and a poor start this time around has left them in the drop zone.
A proven National League creator who will be key if the West Midlands-based outfit are to get their season off the ground, Joe Sbarra is back at Solihull having previously had a fruitful four-year spell.
Initially arriving at Damson Park on loan from Burton Albion, the two-time England C international permanently joined the Moors ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, playing a pivotal role in their challenge at the top end of the division.
Sbarra went on to make 188 appearances with 41 goals to boot and quickly asserted himself as a fan favourite, helping them reach both the play-off and Isuzu FA Trophy final in 2024.
A deserved move to the EFL came with Doncaster Rovers that summer but he found it difficult to replicate that same success despite lifting the Sky Bet League Two title. Returning to Solihull on loan in November, Sbarra rediscovered his best form before making the move permanent the following summer.

After initially holding the Assistant Manager role at FC Halifax Town under Pete Wild, the 51-year-old took the reins when he joined Barrow ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Success quickly followed with mid-table consolidation in 11th place and their second-ever FA Trophy triumph at Wembley Stadium in his maiden campaign. This laid the foundations for two play-off campaigns in the subsequent two seasons, but they fell at the eliminator hurdle on both occasions to Solihull and Oldham Athletic.
The former Manchester City youth midfielder resigned following the 4-0 defeat to the Latics, but was out of management for just over four months before taking the Solihull job.
Our first clash with the Moors came in our final game of 2025 as Regan Booty broke the deadlock inside ten minutes with a sublime free-kick before Sbarra restored parity 16 minutes later. However, Matt Rush netted the decisive strike just before the break to ensure we ended the year on a high.
The reverse fixture failed to bring the same fortunes as Solihull ran out 4-1 victors thanks to a Darius Lipsuic brace and strikes from Lewis Baines and Sbarra, with Josh Landers’ strike nine minutes from time counting for nothing.
The game kicks off at 15:00 tomorrow.
