YOUNG WOOD HIT SEVEN PAST HEMEL REDS

18 December 2017

It was lucky number seven for the young Wood tonight, who sailed past Hemel Reds with a 7-0 victory at home.

Cheyce Grant opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute, before his fellow wing-back Sam Walsh doubled the tally.

An unfortunate own-goal from Hemel, gave the hosts a third shortly after the half hour mark.

Much of the second period was a quieter affair, until Clifton Richards made it four with just over 15 minutes remaining.

A penalty from Archie Pepper, and further goals from Santino Failla and Robert Pinto then upped the scoring to 7-0, in the final 12 minutes.
