Boreham Wood’s Under 18s kicked off their season with a superb resounding 5-1 victory over Hemel Hempstead at the Vauxhall Road stadium.
The victory was led by Ejike Akubude, who netted a brace for the Elite Academy outfit.
Jack Gibbs, Theo Costa and Robert pinto notched goals of their own as the young Wood stormed to an opening day win in the the Southern Counties Floodlit League.
