YOUNG WOOD NET TWICE IN WIN OVER HEMEL WHITES

26 October 2017

Boreham Wood Under 18s retained their unbeaten status in the Southern Counties Floodlight League, with a battling 2-1 victory over Hemel Whites.

Cameron Mawer’s side went ahead on 22 minutes, as Ejike Akubude cooly slid the ball past the Hemel stopper.

The Whites, who sat third in the League table, pushed forward and equalised shortly before the break, as they looked to end the Wood’s perfect start to the campaign.

However, the visitors proved too strong for Hemel Whites and Tarrell Watson-Noel blasted the Wood back infront on 66 minutes.
