Boreham Wood travel to play Slough Town this coming Saturday, 1st October 2011 kick off 3.00pm in the Second Qualifying Round of The FA Cup, sponsored by Budweiser.
‘Wood’ come into their opening FA Cup fixture of the season off the back of a 2-1 win against league leaders Welling United and goalless draw at fancied Essex outfit Chelmsford City.
However Slough Town have already featured twice in this seasons FA Cup, recording two convincing 3-1 victories against Binfield and Banbury United.
Ex-Wood players Danny Murphy, Steve Sinclair and Sean Sonner are likely to play, after featuring heavily for ‘The Rebels’ this season, starting in all Slough’s 11 competitive games so far. ‘The Rebels’ strike force, consisting of Ex-Wood front man Sean Sonner and Danny Burnell, have been busy already this campaign, scoring 5 and 9 goals respectively.
Slough currently sit 3rd in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central, recording six wins, one draw and two loses in nine league games. Scoring 18 and conceding 9 in the process.
