After taking four points from the six available over the Christmas period the club has moved quickly to improve the squad further, as the January transfer window opens..

Powerful midfielder Clovis Kamdjo has rejoined us and will remain with us on a season long loan from Forest Green Rovers. While the talented and pacy striker Jordan Chedozie, has agreed terms and joins us from league 2 side, Cambridge United.

Wood manager Luke Garrard said ” Both players will add different qualities to our squad.. They will strengthen us over the next four months and will add competition in certain areas where we have failed to make an impression consistently in the first half of the season”..

Chairman Danny Hunter said “myself, Luke Garrard and Ian Allinson have been busy for a while now sorting out targets, talking to clubs, managers, agents etc and getting the players Luke and Ian feel will compliment the squad and the shape Luke wants to play”..

“I’m hopeful of adding one or two more of Luke’s targets in the next few days and I’m glad we’ll get much of our January transfer window business done early, as it will enable the squad to settle down and gel.. I’m prepared to back Luke and Ian with the budget but some of the players who are not playing at the moment, will now need to be loaned out. Firstly we need for them to get game time, secondly we must ensure that they all stay fit and finally it will help me balance off the playing budget”.. He concluded
