Boreham Wood Football Club Chairman Danny Hunter has confirmed to the clubs media and communications manager Grant Morris. That he has already received four bids for two players in this transfer window, though all offers have been rejected.

Hunter said “There’s genuinely no rush on my part, let’s just see what happens in the next month or so. Yes the money does help but an FA Trophy run is far more appealing for us at this point. If we can progress a bit further in the FA Trophy, it will keep our season alive and we can perhaps enjoy ourselves a bit.

“We already know that we have a decent and focused squad. We already know we want to add two or three players to our squad and we’d like to try and get ourselves a top 10 finish and a trip up Wembley Way.

“The clubs who’ve enquired about the players, have all been respectful of our position. They understand that i really need to look after my own gaffer, our club and our own business first, then I’ll take a view. We’ve obviously informed the players of the interest, but at this stage, there’s nothing more to comment on. Luke’s got his own targets to strengthen us and I believe he wants to release or loan out a couple, but if anything does change we’ll let you know”..
