Wood Chairman Danny Hunter has once again decided to put his hand in his pocket and subsidise some of the travel costs for the “Wood Army” faithful.
The travelling club members usually make their way to away games, using the clubs fleet of minibuses. The Club Chairman however has decided to put on a luxury coach complete with toilet facilities, DVD player and air conditioning for the long trip to Southport on Saturday 30th January.
With more leg room and some added luxury, it is hoped that as many of our supporters will take up this generous offer. It is hoped that everyone gets onboard and supports Luke Garrard and his players up in Merseyside, for what is sure to be a tense but cracking game of football.
The “Wood Army’s” vocal support so far this season has been a massive plus for the players and we will certainly need that to continue, if the club is too stand any chance of maintaining our National League status next season..
Chairman Danny Hunter Said “ as I’ve said many times, if I can help our supporters on occasion then I’m happy to do so.. The last time we tried something like this we decided to go by train. We then had the game called of late at Barrow and it was in truth a waste of money.. Let’s hope we have a little more luck this time and if we can get our supporters enjoying a day out and adding to the match atmosphere by being vocal, then it can only help our dressing room and our quest for three points”.. He concluded.
