Boreham Wood FC are bracing themselves for their biggest home league gate of the season, with around a thousand Southend United fans expected to make the short trip up from Roots Hall to the LV Bet Stadium Meadow Park.

Wood have been in decent form this season, and throughout October, sitting 3rd in the National League table. Tomorrow’s visit of the Shrimpers promises to be a day where Luke Garrard and his dressing rooms play-off credentials will get severely tested and with Southend having recently changed Manager, a bounce back in their form is to be expected from our visitors.

Tomorrow will also be a day where both sets of supporters can put aside any friendly rivalries, to show their appreciation in regards to a tragic and senseless death that shook a Nation, while remembering the much loved slain Southend West MP Sir David Amess. Both sets of supporters are asked to participate in a minutes applause just prior to kick-off to celebrate Sir David’s life and his 40-years of public service. There will be a special Sir David Amess MP programme produced for the game, which will be sold from the Club Shop and programme sellers around the Stadium.

Finally, with a crowd of between 1,600 and 1,800 expected to converge on the LV Bet Stadium Meadow Park,  Boreham Wood’s ticket office are advising both sets of supporters to book their tickets online this evening or tomorrow morning to avoid the pay-on-the-day queues, they also remind all Wood Army home fans that the newly refurbished East Stand will be fully opened to them tomorrow for the very first time this season…

Both home and away gates at Meadow Park will open for this match from 1.30pm, plus there are in excess of 400 seats available in the West Stand for away fans on a first come, first served basis.

So, book your tickets now and we’ll see you there!
