After announcing record numbers at its first PASE trial for the 2015/16 season. Boreham Wood Football Club are looking forward to welcoming further young hopefuls for its second trial on Thursday, 9th April..

The triallists will be met on the day by our Football Clubs coaches and education partners. They’ll be given time to acclimatise, prepare and register in a pressure free environment. They’ll then be given an introductory talk by the Clubs Chairman about expectations and the aims of the Sports/Education programme. This will be followed by a facility and stadium tour, before Academy Director Luke Garrard and his coaches put the lads through their paces on the football pitch.

All boys who attend on the day, will also be given an informative DVD about the club and scheme to take home with them. Given a ‘free’ match-day programme and a ‘match-day ticket that allows ‘free’ entry to our last home league game of the season..

Academy Director Luke Garrard said “We are very happy with this year with the interest and calibre of player trialling.. Everyone involved with the PASE Academy, are working tirelessly to ensure next year is the best ever and our popularity with the previous trials record attendance, means our message regarding the quality of what our scheme has to offer is getting out there”..

Garrard continued “We want the boys to attend, to really enjoy the day and feel relaxed enough to ask questions. I can promise them all a professional and enjoyable trial, where they will get an insight of the coaching, the club, the scheme and they’ll see our facilities are second to none. Then of course the equally important education options that will be available to them across the board”..

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION…

Our PASE Scheme has come on leaps and bounds from its inauguration in 2002. Our scheme has won National Titles and many other regional leagues and cups. We’ve produced 12 England Internationals at Schools and College level over the last 5 years, more than any other club or scheme at our level in the country.

Many of our boys in the last 13 years, have progressed to play senior non-league football and presently we have 5 PASE Scheme players within the First Team ranks.. In addition, we have many more who have stepped into the professional game.

For example Lee Hodson is doing very well with the MK Dons, Kyle Vassell is doing well at Peterborough and Pelly Ruddock who originally joined West Ham United after impressing Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has put pen to paper on a two and a half year contract with Luton Town.. Furthermore, former youth team player Calaum Jahraldo-Martin recently joined Premier League side Hull City and is on loan at Alloa Athletic..
