TIME TO GET EXCITED, NATIONAL

FOOTBALL IS ALMOST HERE

HALIFAX GAME

The Chairman went on to say “it’s now time to get excited, as after Biggleswade away on Saturday and Hayes at home on Monday, our pre-season finishes and our season will begin in ernest”.

First up we’ll have ex league club Halifax coming to Town on Saturday, 8th August. It will not be a time for nerves, it’s a time for my staff, our dressing room and our Town to really enjoy what’s taken 68 years to achieve and really embrace playing against the big boys in the newly named National league”..

“We maybe an underdog club, we might possibly even be the smallest club to play in this division but who cares I’m just excited to be here. We’ve earned the right to be in this division, we’ve signed good players, we’ve improved our facilities and I firmly believe we’ll be competitive right from the off and it won’t surprise me if we shock a few”..

Hunter went on to say “I just want the town to enjoy this season, I want our supporters who attended our play-off win, to bottle that feeling as I know that me, the staff, the management and the players have.. I hope the town genuinely want to see their club progress even further but that can only be achieved if we get everyone’s support”..

“Let’s hope come 3 o’clock on Saturday week, that the team come out to a stadium that’s jumping. If we can get a crowd creating a fantastic atmosphere, if we can get off to a good start then our supporters will have more than done their bit. It’s then over to our players and gaffer Ian Allinson to give everyone performances and results to smile about but whatever’s thrown at us throughout the season I’m sure we’ll more than cope with”..
