Boreham Wood FC can confirm that due to numerous COVID-19 cases within our First Team squad, Boxing Day’s away fixture with neighbours Barnet at the Hive has been postponed.
Despite our best efforts and daily testing, the Wood have had a number of First Team players return positive PCR tests. This follows a continuous regular rise in national infection numbers seen across the country with the latest Omicron variant wreaking havoc on the festive football calendar.
The club are currently in dialogue with National League and will relay any information received to our supporters at the earliest opportunity.
We are also in dialogue with our counterparts at Barnet and will advise on ticketing for the rearranged fixture in due course.
