Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of striker and winger Andrew Oluwabori from Championship side Peterborough United.
Andrew joined Peterborough United at the beginning of September following a successful trial period with the Posh. Having previously spent time on the books at fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town, Oluwabori arrives at the LV Bet Stadium, Meadow Park eager to prove a point within senior professional football at 20-years-old, having tasted senior men’s football briefly on work experience at Ossett Albion from the Terriers in 2019.
Upon capturing the signature of the Posh youngster, Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard said, “I’m extremely excited to get Andrew over the line, as he will add some much-needed competition in the forward areas. Andrew possesses great pace and a real attitude towards isolating defenders. I’m really excited to see him in our system and shape.
“Having watched him play for Peterborough’s Under 23’s on a number of occasions, I know he will most definitely excite our fans. Also, Andrew comes in and I know he immediately fits the mould in terms of our hard work ethic, as he is eager to impress at National League level.” Garrard concluded.
Subject to National League and FA clearance, Andrew is available for selection and is included in Luke Garrard’s match day squad tomorrow as Wood face a very tough trip to promotion hopefuls Chesterfield in our eagerly anticipated Vanarama National League match up at the Technique Stadium.
Andrew will wear the number 20 shirt during his time with us at the LV Bet Stadium, Meadow Park.
Welcome to the Wood, Andrew!
