Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce a very prestigious set of home pre-season friendlies that are sure to excite both the Wood Army and all football lovers within our community.
Wood Chairman Danny Hunter said, “I’m sorry about the later than normal announcement, but I wanted to be very sure that I knew exactly what level of squad the visiting Clubs coming to Meadow Park in July and August would bring…
“In truth, putting a home pre-season schedule together nowadays is very different from say a decade or so ago… As you have to factor in when the bigger Clubs training programme will start, will they have pre-season tours already arranged and when do their league campaigns begin.
“The great thing is my friends in football have not let me down and I’ve now secured both Premier League new boys Brentford and Championship side Luton Town, who will both be bringing full first team squads to Meadow Park. In addition to those fixtures, I’ve now got both Arsenal and Chelsea coming too, but these will be Xl sides.” Hunter concluded.
