Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce that Grant Morris has been employed as our new Communications and Media Manager.
Grant has a background of Administration, Sales and Commercial and also has experience in running various initiatives within a Sporting environment over a number of years. He also happens to be an ardent Boreham Wood supporter and was interviewed for the position on two occasions.
His professionalism, enthusiasm and understanding during the interview process of the position, impressed everyone on the selection panel and put him to the top of the pile of what was a clutch of very good applicants to the post.
We hope he has a long and successful association with BWFC as he oversees all aspects of the newly formed BWTV Channel that will go live and be fully up and operational by July 10th. (Details to be announced).
He will also oversee the running of the Club Shop and will work with every one of the Clubs ever increasing departments, to ensure that the whole facility is marketed correctly. That will include raising the First team profile in the local consciousness, ensuring that our Pase and Youth structure is well publicised and fully recruited and of course that all our Community work and schemes, are not only seen by a wider audience but that we open up all these initiatives to a wider audience. We hope this initiative will lead to an optimum amount of local people enjoying the club in ever increasing numbers.
We believe as a Conference South football club, who sit just one division below full time football. That this is a huge year for us, as we build a new West Stand at a cost of half a million pounds and we are surprising ourselves with our progress.
By making the huge strides year on year that you need to make at this level, we will need Grant to have all the skills that we require to work at a progressive club to adapt quickly to all of our expectations. We believe he will work very well with our existing personnel, which was also a huge factor in our decision and he will put his own stamp on the position and will begin in his new role with us from Monday, 1st of July.
