Tomorrow, Luke Garrard’s side return to National League Cup action as Wolves U21 come to town looking to pick up their first win of the competition, kicking off at 19:00.
Currently sitting in 11th place of the Premier League 2 table, the West-Midlands based outfit secured a 14th-place finish last term after finishing on 28 points – ahead of sides such as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
An exciting forward predominantly featuring on the right-wing for Wolves, the 19-year-old has rose through the ranks at Molineux and will be hoping to break into the first-team over the coming years. Also being able to feature in a deeper role at attacking midfield, his trickery and pace has seen him being touted for a first-team call-up after impressing in the senior youth side.
We made it back-to-back league wins when FC Halifax Town visited on Saturday to keep up with the chasing pack at the top of the table. Although Owen Devenport netted in the fifth minute of additional time, goals from Lewis Richardson and Erico Sousa did the damage beforehand, ensuring we ran out as 2-1 victors.
Last time out in this competition, we secured a vital 4-3 comeback win against Leicester City U21 after being 1-3 down thanks to strikes from Lewis Richardson, Luke Norris and Jon Benton.
