Tomorrow, Luke Garrard’s side will be looking to continue to pile the pressure on league leaders Carlisle United as we entertain Tamworth, kicking-off at 15:03.
It was a season of consolidation for Andy Peaks’ side after securing consecutive promotions from the Southern League Premier Central Division and through the National League North with a tenth-placed finish. Most notably however, they took Tottenham Hotspur to extra-time in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup but the Premier League outfit’s quality shone through in the end as they prevailed 3-0.
A stalwart in between the sticks for the Lambs since signing for the Staffordshire-based outfit back in 2018, Jas Singh has played an integral role in their successes over recent seasons including two promotions and a run to the third round of the FA Cup. Having played most of his career for northern sides in non-league including Kidderminster Harriers, the 35-year-old has found a home for himself at the Lamb Ground having made over 300 appearances.
We made it back-to-back Enterprise National League wins last time out as we made the trip to Northamptonshire to lock horns with Brackley Town. In a dominant first-half showing, Matt Rush ensured we were rewarded for our efforts just before the break for his 11th goal of the campaign.
Abdul Abdulmalik continued his fine form as he doubled the advantage with 61 minutes on the clock before an Erico Sousa thunderbolt from outside the box four minutes from time. The Wood weren’t able to hold out for a 11th clean sheet of the season as Matt Lowe pulled one back with one minute left.
