He made his first team debut for QPR as a substitute in December 2007 and made his first ever start for the club later on that month. In November 2008 as part of his development, Balanta joined league two side Wycombe Wanderers on a three months loan deal.
A further loan In June 2010 followed, as he joined MK Dons at Division one level for a season. In his time at MK Dons, Angelo bagged 11 goals in 50 games and was highly thought of by the MK Dons supporters, playing in a play off final..
In July 2014 and after a further loan at Yoevil, Angelo was released by Rangers after seven years with the club. In his time at QPR he made in total 25 league appearances in the Premiership and Championship scoring twice..
Before joining us late last summer, Angelo had played his recent football at both Bristol Rovers and Carlisle United.
Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard commented after securing his 9th signing for next season, “Angelo has been great for me this season and has until his recent groin injury been a constant in my sides. He can play in a variety of positions and thankfully he is now fully fit again. Throughout the season he’s scored some big goals for us and is a good influence on our younger players and great to have around the club.

“That’s why I’m also delighted to announce that Angelo will be joining me and our other PASE Academy coaching staff, for up to three times a week next season. That’s great news for our young scholars, who’ll learn an awful lot from somebody with Angelo’s experience and attitude”. Garrard concluded.
