VACANCY | FOOTBALL SECRETARY

Boreham Wood Football Club are seeking a Football Secretary to join the management team ahead of the 2019/20 National League campaign.

The successful candidate will conduct all related secretarial duties including:

  • Preparation and completion of players contracts, transfer and compensation agreements
  • Preparation and completion of all necessary loan documentation, both incoming and outgoing, including liasing with secretaries and necessary staff members for the partner club
  • Preparation and completion of all First Team and Academy affiliations and competitions entries; including the FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Youth Cup and appropriate leagues etc
  • Ensure all the FA and National League requirements are met and communicated with the relevant staff members
  • Management of fixtures for First Team and Academy sides
  • Liaise with the FA and National League on all aspects of football administration and regulation
  • Ensure all club discipline and bonuses for all First Team players are accurately recorded and communicated where necessary with the accounts department
  • Be responsible for all pre-match organisation and preparation, to include liaison with opposition secretary and associated staff in regard to fixture confirmation and arrangements such as; ticketing, car park arrangement, access times, kit colours etc
  • Completion of all relevant pre-match and post-match documentation
  • Attend and represent the club at all appropriate regulatory meetings with the FA and National League

 

BWFC are looking for an individual who has experience in a similar role within a professional or semi-professional club and is also:

  • Capable of working independently using own initiative whilst under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Must have strong IT and administrative skills
  • Must be able to communicate (both verbally and written), interact and engage with colleagues
  • Must be organised and have strong management skills
  • Must be committed, enthusiastic, passionate and open minded
  • Must have a strong and flexible work ethic
