Boreham Wood have re-signed former Chelsea midfielder Billy Clifford on non-contract terms.
The 25-year-old has been trialling with the Wood throughout pre-season and has impressed manager Luke Garrard.
Clifford previously played at Meadow Park during the 2015/16 campaign, before going to sign for Football League Crawley Town.
Clifford never made a first team appearance for Chelsea, but enjoyed a series of successful loan spells with Royal Antwerp, Yeovil Town and Colchester United.
The midfielder has also played for Walsall and will be available for the Wood in tomorrow’s tie with Dagenham & Redbridge.
