Long standing Wood Goalkeeper James Russell, will say his final goodbyes to the ‘Wood Army’ tonight before leaving to team up with our old gaffer Ian Allinson at near neighbours St Albans City.
Work commitments at Chelsea meant Rusty was unable to commit to the daytime training and extra travelling required to play at National Premier League level this season.
He will though be playing his last game in a Wood shirt (for now) in the second half of tonight’s game against Brentford and we hope the ‘Wood Army’ turns up to give Rusty the send off he so richly deserves..
