Boreham Wood sealed an Emirates FA Cup First Round place for the sixth time in seven years, thanks to a 1-0 win away to Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Wood had been forced to a replay against the Daggers, after conceding twice in injury time on Saturday at Meadow Park.
However, Jamal Fyfield’s first half header ensured that they wouldn’t need extra time, as they ran out as deserved winners.
Boreham Wood will now face Southport away in the FA Cup First Round Draw.
Sorba Thomas came in at right-wing-back, with Ricky Shakes moving into midfield, in the only Wood change.
Meanwhile, Dagenham & Redbridge were able to make four changes, showcasing the depth available to manager Peter Taylor.
Dagenham started the game on the front foot and forced an early corner, but Josh Umerah battled the ball from Ollie Harfield and fed Thomas, who was beaten to the ball by Eliott Justham.
Mark Ricketts was then forced into a brilliant double clearance in the middle of the box, following a low cross from Tomi Adeloye.
The Wood started to take control of the game from this moment onwards though and Thomas got into a great position down the right before dragging the ball across the box to Shakes, who saw his shot blocked off the line.
Femi Ilesanmi had driven down the left-wing with pace and power and he crossed low for Gozie Ugwu, but Alex Davey got in-front of him to clear. At the other end, Ollie Harfield countered and saw his cross cleared by Fyfield.
Tom Champion then battled in-front of Shamir Mullings to head the ball away from his near post.
Murtagh attempted a shot from distance after cutting onto his left foot, but he powered it over the crossbar.
A long free-kick from the midfielder would land on the head of the unmarked Manny Parry, but he was unable to get his angles right and it sailed wide.
A further long free-kick from Murtagh found Fyfield at the back post and he pulled it back across the box, but Dagenham cleared. The subsequent corner created a goal-line scramble, but no one could see it home.
On the brink of half-time, Fyfield was able to sneak in at the back post to tuck home Manny Parry’s cross and put the Wood into the lead.
The away side returned to the second half in much the same fashion and Umerah nearly doubled the lead on 53 minutes, but couldn’t aim his header on target from close-range.
Dagenham had arguably their best chance of the match on the hour mark. A shot from Matt Robinson pinballed around the Wood’s penalty area and several stabbed at efforts, but the away defence blocked every chance and Champion thumped it away.
The Wood were playing some excellent football and it was zipped from left-to-right before Thomas darted around his marker and drilled it low into the area. Ugwu connected with it first time, but his shot crashed against the woodwork and out.
A free-kick from Alex McQueen was headed across the Wood area and cleared by Champion, before Harfield volleyed over the crossbar.
Ugwu showed his pressing ability from the front when he battled and won the ball on the by-line. The forward cut inside, but saw his stinging shot blocked.
Slick football from the Wood’s forward line saw Umerah slip Ugwu one-on-one with Justham and the striker lifted the ball over the goalkeeper, but McQueen had tracked back to clear it off the line.
PASE Academy graduate Thomas had put in a brilliant shift at wing-back and tracked back to pluck the ball from Harfield, who was about to go one-on-one with Ryan Huddart.
A scintillating run from substitute Justin Shaibu took him around five Daggers’ players and into the opposition area, but his shot was straight into the hands of Justham.
A golden opportunity to wrap up the match was then somehow kept out by the home side. A cross from Murtagh was whipped in and fell to Fyfield, who stabbed an effort that was blocked off the line, he then poked at the rebound, but again it was blocked off the line.
