Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce our full pre-season fixture schedule ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, with the Wood Army set to enjoy a fantastic mix of home matches against high-profile opposition and away tests against fellow ambitious non-league sides.
As part of the Wood’s 2026/27 pre-season friendly campaign, we will welcome a full EFL first team opponent, as well as some of country’s brightest young talents with three Premier League opposition XI sides visiting to the Mangata Developments Stadium Meadow Park, as preparations begin for another crucial National League campaign.
Our pre-season programme gets underway on Saturday 11 July, 15:00 kick-off when we host our neighbours, Championship side Watford at the Mangata Developments Stadium.
The Hornets provide a perfect opening test for Luke Garrard’s side, with supporters given the opportunity to see the Wood take on established EFL opposition in what promises to be a great occasion in WD6, for both the Wood Army and Watford faithful alike.
Just three days later, the Wood travel to Bedfordshire to face Real Bedford on Tuesday 14 July, 19:30 kick-off.
This fixture will mark the first ever meeting between the two clubs. Real Bedford’s rise through the non-league pyramid has captured plenty of attention in recent years, making this an exciting addition to the summer schedule.
A trio of exciting home fixtures then follows, with some of the Premier League’s most highly rated young players set to visit the Mangata Developments Stadium.
First up, we play our annual fixture at home to Arsenal XI on Friday 17 July, 19:00 kick-off, quickly followed by a Tottenham Hotspur XI coming to WD6 on Tuesday 21 July, 19:30 kick-off.
The summer showcase continues when a Chelsea XI visit Meadow Park on Tuesday 4 August, 19:30 kick-off, completing a mouth-watering run of fixtures against XI’s from three of England’s biggest clubs.
These matches have seen the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis Skelly, and even Ngolo Kante take the field in recent years and provide Wood supporters the opportunity to watch the next generation of Premier League stars in action, while also giving Luke Garrard’s men valuable minutes against elite young talent as preparations intensify ahead of the new season.
Before we host the Chelsea XI, the Wood return to the road on Tuesday 28 July, 19:30 kick-off as we visit Dagenham & Redbridge, a side the Wood have plenty of history in facing.
The Daggers are expected to be among the National League South promotion contenders this coming season and have attracted plenty of attention following the arrivals of KSI, new manager Lee Allinson, and a host of talented signings, providing another excellent pre-season test for Luke Garrard’s boys.
