Boreham Wood Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of midfielder Tarryn Allarakhia, who joins the Wood on a permanent basis from League Two side Rochdale AFC. The 28-year-old arrives at Meadow Park with a wealth of National League and Football League experience, adding creativity, energy and attacking quality to Luke Garrard’s squad.
Born in Redbridge, Allarakhia began his career in Leyton Orient’s academy before making the step into senior football with Aveley and Maldon & Tiptree. His performances earned him a move to Colchester United before joining Crawley Town in 2018, where he made his professional debut in the Carabao Cup. During his time with the Red Devils, he enjoyed a productive loan spell with Wealdstone, scoring four goals in 18 appearances as the Stones reached the National League South play-off semi-finals.
Following spells with Woking and a successful return to Wealdstone, Allarakhia established himself as one of the National League’s most dangerous wide players, seeing him score 13 goals in 81 appearances across two seasons at Spotland. Internationally, Allarakhia has represented Tanzania at senior level, receiving call-ups at both the 2023 and 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the latter seeing him help his country reach the knockout stages of the tournament for the first time in their history.
A versatile midfielder capable of creating and scoring goals, Tarryn brings experience, flair and quality to the Wood’s ranks. We are delighted to welcome Tarryn to the Wood and look forward to seeing him ply his trade at the Mangata Developments Stadium Meadow Park.
