Boreham Wood FC is delighted to announce the arrival of midfielder Matt Robinson to the Mangata Pay UK Stadium, Meadow Park, on a short-term loan from National League counterparts Woking.
Robinson began his career in the youth ranks at Leicester City before joining Luton in 2012. The 29-year-old made a total of 52 appearances for the Hatters while enjoying various spells on loan at Kidderminster Harriers, Grimsby Town, and Woking.
In 2016, the powerful midfielder joined Dagenham and Redbridge, where he resided up until this season, making a total of 240 appearances for the Daggers and scoring on 22 occasions.
In the summer, Robinson joined Darren Sarll’s side Woking, where he has featured in every game so far this season.
Upon his arrival, Luke Garrard commented, “Matt is someone who knows the level, and has an experience of the National League. He is a combative midfielder and has an eye for goal with his late runs into the box.”
“He will go straight into the squad and bring much needed strength and depth to that midfield unit”
Robinson has already joined up with the squad and will be available for selection for tomorrow’s game against Ebbsfleet United, subject to necessary clearances. The midfielder will wear the number 24.
Welcome to the Mangata Pay UK Stadium, Meadow Park, Matt!
