Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce the arrival of defender Kyron Gordon to the LV BET Stadium Meadow Park on loan from Championship outfit Sheffield United.
20-year-old Sheffield-native Gordon joined the Blades as a teenager before graduating from their Academy in 2021. A brief loan spell away from Bramall Lane last season at National League North Boston United was cut short with Gordon recalled and thrown immediately into the action, starting for the Blades in their Emirates FA Cup 3rd round tie with Premier League side Wolves.
Kyron has been on the fringes of the Blades first team over the past two campaigns, consistently named in Paul Heckingbottom’s match day squads, whilst making 10 total appearances for his hometown club.
Gaffer Luke Garrard had this to say on capturing Kyron’s signature on loan, “I’m really happy to get Ky signed. He is someone we have monitored in recent weeks and to have him come in the building will only strengthen us in an area where we were light.
“Ky brings very good athleticism and great quality on the ball. We are excited to have him on board and to be working with him.”Garrard concluded.
Kyron joins up with fellow-Blades loanees Zak Brunt and George Broadbent and will wear the number 24 shirt during his time with the Wood.
Welcome to the LV BET Stadium Meadow Park, Kyron!
