On Tuesday 17 July Meadow Park will see the arrival of the new Italian flavoured Watford Football Club. Interest for this occasion is likely to be unprecedented. The mere presence of Gianfranco Zola in Borehamwood along with the aspirations of a new and exciting era for fans and followers of Watford Football Club and the game in general makes this a must see game!
New owners, the Pozzo family, who have owned regular European contenders Udinese for twenty five years and are also on the board at Granada. Their footballing philosophy and the ability to pick from a large pool of players will surely take Watford to an even higher level.
Given that Ian Allinson has already shown he has a team more than capable of giving top flight showcase teams a real workout the buzz around the Club is gathering momentum.
