With tickets for our FA Cup tie against Notts County next Sunday, finally beginning to sell. FA Cup fever has hit the Wood, albeit slowly, in the build up to next Sunday’s eagerly anticipated fixture.

The club are now receiving numerous requests from both the local and national press, who are writing reports, want articles and seeking interviews and quotes from both ‘The Wood’ Manager and his Players.

We have as a bit of fun, even put together a promotional FA Cup video, featuring Luke Garrard and Borehamwood resident and Talksport’s radios, very own Ian “The Moose” Abrahams.

Boreham Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard said “I’ve told the boys to just enjoy any attention they get while it lasts, but to remember that in the FA Cup, winning is the only goal they need to ultimately focus on.. When your an underdog with a chance like we are, then it’s important that we believe and we do”

“So if our supporters turn up in their numbers, as they did in our relegation battle down at Welling last season. Then the atmosphere they create, could well bring an upset in the FA Cup to Meadow Park. The shock is going to happen somewhere, so why can’t it be us” Garrard concluded.

The Club can also announce that it will bring the actual FA Cup, to the Town this coming Tuesday, 1st November.

The club and FA Cup will be visiting schools, many of our sponsors and will also be made available for photo opportunities, in both Tesco’s and down at the club… The times for an FA Cup photo op, in Tesco’s are from 15.15 to 16.00 and in the clubs ‘Gallery Suite’ from 16.15-17.00

So make the most of this great opportunity, and really enjoy having some time with the FA Cup. All photograph’s with the Famous Trophy are ‘free’ and anyone wishing to purchase match day tickets, can do so on the day, as they will also be readily available.

So bring your camera, bring your phone, don’t forget the kids, and help us cause an upset!!!
