Boreham Wood FC Commercial Executive Mandee Morris and Head Groundsman Daniel Hunter was delighted to agree an ongoing sponsorship deal with our new pitch contractors SJK.

SJK have a great reputation and were our pitch contractor this spring, dealing with much of the pitch renovations in the close season. Under the supervision of our head groundsman, they will also provide a yearlong programme that will include vertidrains, worm suppressants and weed kills etc. While ensuring the pitch is fed with a yearlong feeding programme to include the required fertilizers and nutrients that ensure the pitch is kept in the best possible condition, for not only our First Team, but the Arsenal Ladies and the Arsenal Development Squad.

SJK are one of the best Sports Turf specialist in the area and they have seen first-hand the progress our club is making to now sit in the National Premier League. Through discussion over a 12-month period, it became apparent that SJK wanted to be part of what still is our non-league underdog story, where a local community football club punches above its weight both locally and nationally.

We are delighted to join forces with SJK and will on our part hopefully, also raise SJK’s profile in Hertfordshire and North London. We are happy to endorse them because the work they have done out over the spring and summer has simply been exceptional. It’s also well priced and the after care has really impressed our Chairman and Head Groundsman.

Daniel Hunter who oversees both the stadium and the match-day pitch said “I’m really pleased with the make-up of the pitch; the drainage work carried out in May is looking seamless already. SJK have also been a pleasure to deal with and now that we’ve played a few home pre-season games including Brentford, Reading, Peterborough, Arsenal XI and Luton Town, it’s clear the pitch has not only played really well but all the pro clubs were happy with it.

SJK commented – “We are delighted to be able to work with the Chairman, Daniel and the Club, in helping to keep what is already a great pitch in the best possible condition for the coming season. It’s been really nice to see Boreham Wood win numerous promotions in recent years and now we are a part of that. Our sponsorship and investment reflects our commitment to the club remaining in the National League and our stadium board will now be seen on the Arsenal IPlayer and Arsenal Ladies website, so that helps raise our profile”.

“It’s also seen on BWTV every week and on both Sky and BT Sport, when their games are on the highlights show or live. So compared to local papers and other advertising tool it makes it value for money.. We really do wish the Club, Manager, Players and Supporters all the very best for next season and let’s hope our partnership with the club is a longstanding one”.
