PASE Academy Set First Trial Date

31 January 2013

Boreham Wood’s PASE Scheme (Programme for Academic and Sporting Excellence) are delighted to announce our first trial date for the 2013/2014 season.

This trial will be held on Thursday 21st February 2013, 10.00am at Boreham Wood Football Club, Meadow Park, WD6 5AL.

Our PASE Academy is a very well-known and much respected Football/Education Scheme, for talented young men aged between 16 to 18 years old. This initial trial will give you the chance to look at our facilities, showcase your talent, speak to our Coaching and Medical team and talk with existing PASE Players to discuss their experiences and meet our Chairman.

We can offer you the chance to combine a high level of UEFA accredited football coaching from Ex-Professional players. With a football structure and training programme designed to suit players of all abilities. We have designed a programme that allows every boy to progress through the various levels of ability within the Football Club, that only a scheme of our size can offer.

Academically Boreham Wood Football Club can offer also full time education courses on site at the club. We are also in partnership with our Education providers Cohenel College and Winchmore School and we also offer full time courses off site.

We offer the widest range of courses, including BTEC’s, CYQ Personal Trainer courses, Construction courses and A-Levels. We also offer other diverse courses but only if the timetables make these feasible with your training programmes.

Many other Schemes that claim to mirror our PASE Scheme have lots of hidden charges. So you must be careful, when deciding your future and if it’s affordable in your circumstances. Our scheme is completely FREE save for a training kit cost that is heavily subsidised.

Boreham Wood Football Club has in the last year entered into a two-year partnership with the Premier League’s Reading Football Club. This exciting initiative has flourished throughout 2012, with BWFC player’s playing in 4 games between the two Youth Structures and acquitting themselves well.

These games proved so successful for both clubs, that it led to us preparing Reading FC for their recent FA Youth cup victory against Brentford and led to BWFC players Sam Doolan and Rob Hastings then going to Reading on trial.

The partnership also recognises the progress and investment being made at BWFC. This is headed up by our PASE Manager Billy Hunter, Academy Director Luke Garrard, Head Coach Mario Noto and our Clinical lead Megan Reid and shown in the constant upgrade of our facilities and infra-structure.

That investment has classrooms built, Minibuses purchased, Gyms and Rehab rooms built and seen our PASE Scheme and youth structure win National Titles and many other leagues and cups. We’ve also produced 10 England Internationals at Schools and College level over the last 4 years, which is more than any other club at our level in the entire Country.

We have also progressed many of our boys in the last 10 years to play at a senior non-league level of football and presently we have 9 PASE Scheme players in our First Team squad and currently playing at Conference South Level.

We have also had two boys Lee Hodson and Matty Whichelow who were with us for many years and came through our youth structure. They are presently at Watford and we had another boy Pelly Ruddock, who recently signed for West Ham United. We are obviously very proud of playing our part in their progress.

Across the board we now have PASE graduates at all levels of the Football League, the Non-League Pyramid and on full Scholarships in the USA or at University’s in the UK.

We believe that “WE ACHIEVE WHAT OTHERS SAY THEY’LL DO”. That’s why we recommend that you attend other trials in the coming months and make comparisons. Please compare their facilities, their player progress, their Coaches and their Coaching set up. Compare their Pitches, Transport, Their Medical support and importantly their hidden costs and can they offer you a complete Football/Education package. Only then do we believe you can you make an informed decision.

It’s vital that you, your parents or guardians, focus on your future and we are confident that when you consider all the factors. That we will be your PASE Scheme of choice, as nobody we believe can remotely match our success, our care and our investment over the last 10 years.

So if you are 16 to 18 years old and wish to trial with Boreham Wood Football Clubs PASE Scheme, then we want to hear from you. For More information on the PASE Scheme or to download an application the please visit our website www.borehamwoodfootballclub.co.uk
