Boreham Wood Football Club are pleased to announce Jay Taylor as our new Media & Communications Manager.
Jay succeeds Craig Draycott who departs us to go work in Formula 2 after two very successful years at Meadow Park, that we believe propelled the club’s media output to a new level.
Jay, 25, joins the club from Yorkshire where he held the same position at Tadcaster Albion and i2i Sports where he spent four years. The new member of the team is a graduate of UCFB (University College of Football Business) in which he achieved a degree in Football Business & Media at Burnley’s Turf Moor.
“I felt it was time for a change for me” stated Jay.
“I wanted to progress my career with a club higher up the pyramid and fortunately here at Boreham Wood I now have the chance to do so.”
“I’m already excited for the season to start and I hope the fans, dressing room and sponsors enjoy the content along the way.”
Wood Chairman Danny Hunter said “We had over 50 very good applicants for the position and our shortlist was in truth fantastic. Jay for me just stood out that little bit more, as he’s young, hungry to improve, wants to impress and I felt had the right attitude to help us grow.
If he can settle in and work as hard as Craig did, then I’ll be well pleased, as no doubt he’ll be a very busy young man in regards to all aspects of the football club and our academy over the summer.”
