Wood will lock horns with Notts County for a 2nd time this coming Tuesday in the FA Cup 1st Round after the original tie ended in a 2-2 draw last Sunday at Meadow Park in front of the BBC cameras.
Much of the same awaits the victors in Round 2 against Peterborough United as the BBC have selected the game to be on its extended highlights show.
Both sides have suffered defeats since our last meeting. Notts County suffered defeat midweek at the Stadium of Light to a Sunderland U23 side after conceding two very late goals then went down 4-0 on Saturday to Blackpool.
Wood meanwhile lost on their travels to Bromley 1-0 despite dominating the second half and missing a penalty.
Both sides will be missing personnel after Saturday’s fixtures. Conor Clifford will sit this game out for the Wood after accumulating his fifth booking of the season.
Vadine Oliver will be missing for the home side after receiving his marching orders in Notts County’s defeat to Blackpool.
With a full coach and large numbers going up by car we hope to see a large away following to get behind Luke Garrard and his side as they look to create history.
